Call for Submissions – Vol. 1, No. 2 The Buhari Administration

The deadline to be featured in the print edition has passed. Submissions after the deadline will only be considered for publishing online.

The Republic is still accepting submissions for its April/May 2017 issue, in which scholars and experts will critically analyse President Buhari’s term in office so far, outlining key imperatives, challenges and/or achievements.

We expect each submission to discuss a distinct area of governance, which could be Security, the Economy, Anti-Corruption, Youth, Education, Gender Equality or broader elements of Foreign and/or Domestic Policy.

We are looking for analytical and engaging essays, lectures, speeches and book reviews that, without sacrificing academic rigour, can serve as authoritative/definitive subject-matter guides to both scholars and professionals that may have limited knowledge on Nigeria’s affairs.

We are also interested in submissions on Governance across Africa, through which readers can gain insight into pertinent regional issues within the continent.

Overall, we expect submissions ranging between 1,500 words (minimum) and 6,000 words (maximum) and hope to receive first drafts by Friday 31 March, 2017.

Please send all submissions as MS-Word documents to [email protected].
