For the past two years, The Republic has highlighted its best essays annually. This year, we’re doing something different—we’re inviting you to join the conversation and make your voice heard!

You can now nominate your favourite essays from 2024 in each category by filling out our nomination form with the link to your chosen essays.

And for the first time, we’re also awarding the best photography and illustrations!

Additional Note: Please nominate only one essay or writer per category and select essays, illustrations, and photographs published in 2024. Nominations without direct hyperlinks to the essays on our website will not be considered.

Nominations close at 11:59 p.m. on 30 November, 2024. We will announce the shortlist, which would be selected by our editorial team, on 04 December, 2024, and the winners at our end-of-year event on 14 December, 2024⎈
