Recently, we had reason to review our editorial process. We were informed that several paragraphs in an essay we published were similar to a piece previously published in a different journal. In light of this, we are taking several measures to avoid future incidents of this type. In this policy, we detail several improvements to our editorial process specifically in the areas of detecting and responding to plagiarism. Our mission remains to create knowledge and we will continue to devote our energies towards restoring Africa-oriented knowledge to its proper, crucial and dignified place in Nigerian public discourse.
