Call for Submissions – Vol. 3, No. 3 Global Connections, Local Realities

Deadline: 19 May 2019

We are currently accepting submissions for our June/July 2019 issue, in which authors will critically discuss technology as a force of globalization. Submissions with a focus on Nigeria and Africa are now welcome on any of the following topics:

 Internet connectivity and digital divides;

 Media and the globalization of misinformation;

 Knowledge economies and digital governance;

 Globalization, ICTs and [Female] Economic Empowerment;

 Digital colonialism and technologies of globalization;

 Cultures of cybercrime, 419 and ‘Yahoo-Yahoo’;

 The impact of technology on global and regional value chains; and

 Broader international affairs.

We are looking for analytical and engaging essays, lectures, speeches, reading lists and book reviews that, without sacrificing analytical rigour, can serve as authoritative/definitive subject-matter guides to readers that may have limited knowledge on global issues.

We expect submissions in the range of 1,500 to 5,000 words and will be accepting first drafts until Sunday 19 May 2019.

Authors of accepted submissions to this issue will be paid at a competitive rate, and will receive a copy of the magazine issue in print.

Please send all submissions as MS-Word documents to [email protected].
